Provides support and advice for the African community in Cambridge, representing the profile of the African community among the various sections of the city's population through the organisation of social, cultural and recreational events focussed on Africa and open to the public. Enhancing the understanding of the African community, in the belief that such understanding will contribute towards creating an atmosphere conducive to mutual respect and harmonious race relations.

Established to promote, maintain and advance the welfare of Black Women in the City of Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The Group aims to be non-discriminatory in relation to race, ability, sexuality, class and religion. The Black Women's Support Group was founded in 1985 and is run by local Black women. Also offers study and support for minority ethnic children.
